Tsongas Arena
Lowell, MA
(d8 or MiniDV master?)>dvdr(x)
Length - 2:03:26
Audience shot from high up and on the right
side in the back of the venue. The venue is
pretty dark, but when the lights are on the
picture is very clear and colorful. It has
the look of a MiniDV or D8 tape with a very
sharp picture with little grain or bleeding
colors, I assume it was taped with one or the
other but I have no specific generation info.
Audio quality is also very good, camera audio
is used but the crowd noise during songs is
minimal. There's one split second tape flaw
in the very beginning, within the first 30
seconds or so. Looks like a source problem
and not a transfer/encoding one. The transfer
is a bit screwy when it comes to very bright
spots on the picture, from time to time you
can see jagged lines on the sides of those
spots but it is really a very minor thing, the
picture is great considering the low bitrate.
This is a standalone recorder transfer, so it
has just a basic standalone button/text menu
and erratic chapter skips. The chapter times do
not coincide with the length of the songs, they
seem to be randomly set around 4-5 minutes apart
and do land right in the middle of songs most of
the time.
