Because of the way this was done, it may not work
on some cheap DVD players (particularly might not
play on Xbox).
Shot for MTV's 2$ Bill concert series, though when
broadcast the show is 30-60 minutes, this is from a
pre-broadcast tape of the show that leaked from MTV.
The picture suffers a bit from the low bitrate/VHS
gen and darkness of the venue but it's great quality
with all things considered. Audio is 256Kbps AC3 and
sounds excellent. The source used was spread across
two VHS tapes, so there is a tape split during the
song 'Where I End and You Begin', followed by around
30 seconds of grey screen while the tapes switch.
The grey screen is chaptered so it can be skipped
directly to the next portion of the song. The disc
has motion menus, and a 'hidden' video that is the
beginning of the tape, starting with one of the MTV
vjs standing around then doing two takes of an intro
while someone directs the crowd to cheer, followed
by around 15 minutes of the cameras just randomly
taping the crowd and things around the venue. The
first non hidden selectable track goes right to the
beginning of the show itself. There are no MTV logos
or credits, only a very short video intro after the
pre-show footage and just before the show itself.
My copy is from what was seeded by the person who
authored a standalone recorded copy of the show.
The person who authored it noted this about the
source:

The source is a bit of a mystery as the show is
still quite rare, no one's quite sure why it snuck
itself out of MTV's vaults, and how someone got it
out of there and on to a DVD. Given that mystery, no
one is quite sure about the generation of VHS that
was converted to DVD, maybe 1st, maybe 2nd, no one
knows. Anyone that I talked to that had a copy we
could get a hold of acquired them from different
places, but all seem to have the same source and
quality. This hasn't really had time to spread and
degrade yet as it was pretty much just discovered.
