Pearl Jam - 07/22/98
Memorial Stadium
Seattle, WA

Shot from high up VERY far from the stage,
completely across the stadium. Though the
video is shot from way far off, it is zoomed
pretty steadily and doesn't even become
apparent how far it is until it zooms out
late into the set. The band plays through
sundown so the beginning of the video is
bright and detailed, while the middle is a
bit dark and fuzzy until the stage lights
come on for the end. Very nice quality,
especially considering the distance. The
sound is a mix of sound from the video and
soundboard audio from the official release.
There is a Dolby Stereo track, and a Dolby
5.1 Surround sound track. The show is very
long but fits onto one disc. A funny part of
note during the concert- some guy climbs up
onto scaffolding in the middle of the stadium
and mimes singing and pumping his hands in
the air, while arguing with some security who
won't climb high enough to get him down.
