P J  HARVEY
Polly Jean Harvey.
A few days ago I went to see PJ (for the 1st time) at Brixton Academy. Before she won the Mecury Music prize, the gig was not sold out. But when I got there it was. And I firstly must say that 2/3rds of the crowd were ass-holes, who turned up because they are the people who read the 'whats hot and whats not' section in bloody time-out or whatever- YOU SHOULD HAVE ALL STAYED AT HOME-instead you came and stood arms folded until the end of the gig when you managed to half clap, a little. EEEEDIOTS!
PJ, you were great, and shining and solitary example of how good rock can be. And the band were amazing too!

I was a late bloomer with PJH> was given a tape with 'mansize' demo version on it in 1999! Thats the first I properly heard of her, after that was to bring you my love, dry, is this desire, stories.. and finally the other week in Holland I bought Rid of me. This girl can do no wrong by me. IN FACT PJ cant do wrong by anyone- She's always done her own thing and doesn't give a toss. And she's f***ing great at it. She's also (British) and said that her next album will be very different. I think for those of us annoyed with the crowds at her recent gigs, that this will be to our liking very much.
