| Hello seventh grade L.A./Communications students, Welcome to room 211! Together we will enjoy literature and explore the art of writing. The two go hand-in-hand, as you will soon see. You are about to become an author! As I begin my 34th year of teaching, I will face many challenges. Like most of you, I'm still the "new kid on the block". This will only be my third year at Shafer. I previously taught Reading for 31 years at Armstrong, which closed. I'm still learning more and more things about Shafer M.S., so we will learn about Shafer together! Bensalem, however, is not new to me. I grew up (believe it or not) on a dairy farm in Bensalem, and was in the first class to graduate from our current high school. I hold a Master's Degree as a Reading Specialist, grades K-12. My immediate family consists of my husband, George, and my two sons, Joel and Matt. This is the third year that my sons are both away at colleges. (My house will be plenty quiet to enjoy this year's work from my new crop of authors!) I look forward to getting to know you through your writing! Sincerely, Mrs. J. Dworsky |
