This is a great site for rescources. It has the entire history of the 40k universe and the discussion section is always very entertaining.
Games Workshop Website
This is the official Game Workshop website and has all the basic info
on 40k and Gothic as well as the entire line of miniatures they sell. GW
has many other games systems as well.
Bartertown
A definite must for all gamers out there!! Bartertown is place where
gamers from all over the world come together to trade their unwanted
miniatures, games, etc... for the ones they want.
Portent
The self proclaimed "Ultimate Game Workshop Site", this place has cool pics, rumors, and resources for the GW hobby.

The Beacon
This site belongs to Mike Fish and is a great resource for Vor:the Maelstrom, a game developed by Fasa. It has a pretty cool system that allows you to convert armies from virtually any game and use them against each other. If you ever wondered howyour 40k armies would do against Warzone armies, now you can find out. But if you don't want to spend the time to develope an army, don't worry, Vor has a lot of armies to choose from and has really cool background.
