| Chapter Eight Stillwater, OK Fall 1960-April 1961 After a summer in which my brothers and I (and a friend of mine) hauled 500 tons of hay on a 1949, ton-and-a-half, Studebaker truck that Dad had bought for us, I enrolled in Oklahoma State University at Stillwater as a major in Automotive and Diesel Technology. I moved in with my brother who was already attending that college. I met and fell in love with a girl from Sperry, Oklahoma. Half way through the second semester, I dropped out of college to marry her. |
