| Chapter Five Lone Star, OK 1947-1949 At long last I get to go to school. I got to carry my own brown paper bag with my own lunch inside. I was in the first and second grades at Lone Star elementary school which is near Okemah, Oklahoma. I learned to count and draw letters and tell time. |
