Sifu Mark Dacascos


Mark Dacascos is the son of Mariko McVey and Al Dacascos. He was raised by Malia Bernal of the style Wun Hop Kuen Do, considered one of the best female martial artists ever, and Al Dacascos, founder of Wun Hop Kuen Do. Thus, Mark comes from a line of great martial artists. He has been trained from birth by his parents in Wun Hop Kuen Do , later in Black Tiger Northern Shaolin while in Taiwan and Brazilian Capoeira. He has always wanted to become an actor and has had fine success in this endeavor. He now has a large number of television credits to his name including: Young Conan, The Flash, Doogie Howser and General Hospital to name a few. In addition, he has played major roles in a large and growing number of films including: Only The Strong, American Samurai, and many more. He currently works and teaches martial arts in Los Angeles, California. He has recently finished five new films in 1996: The Return To The Isle of Dr. Marrow (Marlon Brando, Val Kilmer), Crying Freeman (with his future wife Julie Condora), Road To Ruins (Kadeem Artisan), Sabotage Survivors, and DNA. Since then, he has been extremely busy on a number of other films, with one of his most recent "Brotherhood of the Wolf" to be released in January, 2002.
