Worshipful Master Outgoing Message 2004

Distinguished guests, brothers, friends, ladies and gentlemen. Good afternoon. Welcome to our open installation of officers. Today is a very special day as the new Master takes his solemn obligation as Worshipful Master and ascend to the Oriental chair in the East.

My brothers thank you for your trust and confidence and giving me this opportunity to lead and serve you. We stayed focus and made our meetings more interesting and enjoyable, we involved our families, other lodges, and the community in our activities. Our efforts were rewarded during the District 7 reception of the Grand Master, when I received for the lodge the Pillars of Progress Family Achievement award. It surely was a fun filled year and I thank you all for that. Our theme was Having Fun Together and now I can say Mission Accomplished.

One time when we were in Seattle watching a parade, my grandson ask me why those men in a Masonic float were wearing aprons and I told him, to cover their working tools. How come some of them has very colorful designs and varying colors in their aprons. Oh them? They dont use their working tools anymore. They are smart and we call them Wise men of our fraternity and they can leap tall buildings like superman, they are faster than a speeding bullet and if you have a problem or a question you go to them because they know everything. My Grandson looked up to me and said Grandpa? I want to be like them someday. Well you have to be good then because only good men can join the fraternity.

My brothers, there are many of those good man in the community where we live who share the same values we do. They share the same passion that we do of helping those less fortunate. Just look around you my brothers, how sweet it is being surrounded by good men and women we can trust, work together for a common goal, and recognized as a relevant fraternity. Let us reach out to those uninformed and enlighten them in what the fraternity is all about that it is about brotherly love, relief, and truth.

Ive been blessed to have friends who were always there to help when I needed assistance in good times and bad times.

We shared many good times together and we never seem to run out of those famous Filipino tea. I thank you for that. You are my true brothers and because of you Im a better man today. I enjoyed my stay in the East and lots of fun memories that I will cherish forever. Lastly, I would like to thank my Lovely wife for her support, patience, and understanding. She was my confidant, and my number one critique, I wouldnt have done it without her by my side.

I thank the almighty lord God for guiding me and showing me the way in my journey in the East. God Bless you all.

Fraternally,
Jesse Carpio
