changing the web sites ![]() I've been changing the website this week, as I've had hits so changed the main page for better navigation, and likely will start eliminating pages as I'm at the maximum disk space for geocities. and some of the old pages need to go. I first put them up, the old ones, part of telling a story, partly experiment in illustrated blog. Now that the yahoo 360 blog has it so I can add an illustration, I can rearrange the web site into more of an illustration portfolio, leave the story telling here where it is relatively easy to edit, delete, get comments, and be more direct. Pages that have been the most popular, obviously the index, the graceada park project, drum circle, scott and jim, and then on from there depending on far people got into the tour of graceada park neighborhood depending on my navigation. Pages that have become more popular, the picture galleries, which I will change on the other websites as well. The Gerlovin theory information, which we actually put up to see if this was a real theory of physics, or what, has pretty much run its course, string theory of course the new champ. Applications persist, but likely put up less my stuff, leave the Gerlovin theory items up and combine into one page. I did add pages for Room mates, music, Modesto Inn, and more, that are mostly illustration, less blog editorial. Some of the old ones are in revision, a few slated for deletion soon, as either never got off the ground, or their time is up. When this one is done, on to the other ones. Thanks for old visitors who may now visit the blog version of jdc104 The heat has been bad the last two weeks, and for anyone on meds, includes me, this has been a tough 2 weeks in Modesto. I'm real tired today, but glad to be in the nineties. One of the reasons I'm even back on 360 the past two weeks, its so damn hot, the myspace profile, is barely operational some days, even pruning the blogs down, from the crap, to best of, or at least marginally readable, and still have a few months of gibberish to delete. Have to do same on the Christiansen Bros profile, get rid of some my search function copy and paste items I started that blog with, leave the actual business of selling and writing chess books up, fortunately only 140 views there, but you can't even edit what you put up in the heat, with server down, and myspace has been slow ever since such the toutine mantenance item is on. So, taking the cue from real web site managers, I'm redoing the experiments I started a few years ago, make them a bit more interesting, usuable, readable. In the meantime, routine mantenance done here, guess I'll go check on Lou's listings. jim jim 2006-07-28 16:44:01 GMT
