well, I have Marilyn's bike that dad used to ride, say he's been dead since 1987, and Scott only ran it to work once in awhile and that was 8 years ago, and.....nobody, not even me has ridden it since.  Must be a girls bike. 

Or, simply can't get the lock off, the tires flat or out from behind the lawnmower easily. 

Scott's latest bike, like many of mine in the period 1994 to 1997 when I last saw my latest two bikes, likely taken by the alley gremlins, perhaps auctioned to the dumpster diver trolls.  At any rate they are gone, and the disassembled or just plain broken into latch pieces to shed, to closet doorknob, or out the back way, left the chain and padlock, indicate they were indeed stolen.

Well, finders keepers, it seems a mountain bike made it out to a ball field,  stayed all day, Scott had to lock it up, wait for someone to come look for it, post a poster like we did, when the FEDEX twit dropped off mom's massage chair Larry sent to the wrong house, and the chair scammers had to put up with our wanted back posters.  NO posters emerged, nobody missing, well used, but tires still intact mountain bike, minor derailer problems, missing one break pad. 

So I am riding, as Scott had to move new equipment into equipment room after three months, and so I have a bike.  Hard tires, take a while to get used to this one.  Not the same as when I rode from Riverside to the Beach over the Cleveland highway in So. Cal, but then Stanislaus County is flat. 

I will have it, til the trolls come for it, likely as a bump off in the night.  Perhaps I can talk the dumpster diver gremlins into getting me a trailer,  look like a professional recycler.  Naaaa, new paint job, new lock, new bungie chords, should do the trick, and lots of water bottles in carry on bag.  Ready for take off when the temp down around 90.  jim
