It's my pleasure to share with you what I have learned from Bro. Bo's talk sometimes in January 2001 during a Sunday gathering in the Philippines.
Many of us Christians were spending a lot of time and effort finding our Ms. /Mr. Right, the right man or woman, the right partner we are always dreaming of. On this search we end up engaging to one after the other relationship. After one relationship, we go to another relationship which ends up to more heartache. And sometimes because of so many relationships we end up to confusion which leads us to fall for the worst one or sometimes we close our heart for love because we're afraid to experience the emotional pain again.
When we are in love we get so involve with this person; love him/her so much, make him/her part of our life and dreams, our plans, everything... until one day we woke up without our supposed to be dream man/woman... gone... gone like a bubbles from our life and then we realize he/she was not meant for us.
What we do is keep on praying and trusting our Lord Jesus Christ, communicate with Him thru prayer and seek what are His plans for us. Some of us maybe meant for single blessedness or religious order or maybe missionaries or for marriage. Listen to your heart and soul and believe that He will provide what is best for us. Include this word in your prayer: "God, let my heart beat only to the man/woman you have prepared for me." With this prayer we will not be able to fall for the wrong man/woman again. If we are meant for single blessedness or religious orders or missionaries accept it with all your heart and be thankful and happy for He knows what is best for us. |
