| In 1974, President Nixon came to McCoy AFB Orlando, FL. We were able to meet the President when he landed. The president spoke with my mother for about five minutes on the subject of Scouting, for we wore our uniforms to see the President and we were the first to shake his hand when he got off AirForce One. | President Nixon shakes my hand and other fellow CubScouts. I'm very happy that I was able to meet a President of the United States and shake his hand. Today, I look back at this encounter as a time when, "I touched history". |
