| This document is dated 15 March 1888. The document certified David's injury and discribes it. David was shot in the left leg 2 inches above his ankle. The bullet broke both the Tibia and Fibula. It was reported he could get around using a cane. The bullet is refered to as a miniball. The miniball was a bullet used in muzzle loading guns. It was rammed down the bore of the gun after a charge of powder and a wad was first put in the bore. |
