Flowers Cemeteries.

In July 1999, we went on a trip with Uncle Ed to visit the Flowers family grave yard located near Adel, GA. The site is located on private property and we asked to see the grave yard. The owners are very nice and will permit family members to visit. Below are photos of the site. It is now kept in good condition and according to Uncle Ed, there are unmarked graves in the cemetery. We will never know who is buried in any of the unmarked graves. The markers have been lost to time.

The grave marker of Andrew Jackson Flowers. It is located in the Flowers cemetery along with his son William Wright and daughter in-law, Mary Flowers.

The grave marker of Martha Flowers (Roberson), mother of William Wright Flowers.

Above - The grave markers of William Wright and Mary Flowers. Located in the background is an unidentified marker. To the left of it are believed to be a number of graves that no longer have markers. It has become difficult to bury any more family due to the fact that a earlier grave might be happened upon.

Below are the photos from the Sylvester Cemetery. This is the location of the grave sites of William Riley and Amanda Flowers. This cemetery is located on the other side of a small creek from the Flowers Cemetery. It too is near Adel, GA.

These are very nice markers. The Flowers family did a good job on providing such nice markers for William and Amanda.
