Day Twenty-two
We woke up to fog.. imagine that.
Tall Trees
Watch out for that tree!
Day 22 Saturday, July 9th

Another 220 miles today.  We were shooting for more but the weather was not very cooperative.  We started out in some heavy fog slowly twisting our way along the coast.  The skies did clear up by the time we reached the drive thru tree and we spent some time there taking pictures of giant redwoods and shopping.  We ran into a couple that we had met at the Cameron Trading Post on Day 15.  How funny.  We chatted with them for awhile still dont know their names but theyre from Texas and she rides a trike which was being repaired when we happened upon them.  Nice people.  On we went a little off the coastline to Highway 101 to try and make some time.  We actually got up to speeds of 75 mph today.  We stopped in Eureka, Ca. to collect another pin and encountered more really nice people.  We then went through the Redwood Forest for a little while.  We finally saw some Elk today too.  Weve been looking for them since Arizona.  We got out of the forest and right back onto the coastline as it was raining.  We decided to stop in Crescent City, Ca. just 20 miles from the Oregon border.  We went to the hotel restaurant and lounge for dinner and there we met another nice couple Karen and Jim were supposed to meet them in Sturgis 2006 on Wednesday at 5:00 at the Underground Bar.
