We opted to stay in Las Cruces again and do some sightseeing. Not in Las Cruces of course but 300 miles away. We stopped in White Sands and WOW was that beautiful. We headed for the White Mountains Wilderness area hoping to get a picture of the Bear Canyon falls. Instead we took some pictures of Lake Bonito, some deer, a lizard and maybe some eagles. We quickly discovered that to get to Bear Canyon one has to hike. Silly bikers � what were we thinking. We headed back to camp as the sun was going down and that was rather pretty as well as much cooler. No real issues on our little trip today except for the rock that smacked me in the forehead hard enough to draw blood. Good thing I�m tough!
