Well � we got the booty. Waiting for us in the mailbox were the items we had asked for along with a note to �Time Zone Guy.� It was pretty funny. Every time JDawg called the Harley place he would call himself the time zone guy because we were in a different time zone when we called and we were losing an hour on our way to Dodge City. You�ve got to like the people in Kansas. We did a little over 300 miles today traveling through places like Pretty Prairie and Smileyberg. We spent a few hours in Dodge City at Boot Hill (the real Boot Hill). It was pretty cool. We watched a shoot-out re-enactment, did a little shopping, had some more buffalo and just chilled for a little while. It was about 103 today � yuck. We (unfortunately) chose the little town of Fredonia to stop in for the night. Apparently the corner of town we stopped in was owned by the same person and did not permit smoking. This was evidenced by the 20 large signs indicating NO SMOKING FACILITY. Geez � we get it. The room was crappy, the only restaurant there closed an hour early and would not serve us and it all really just sucked. We were tired though so we made the best of it. We�ll be out of here good and early!
