Day Thirty-Four
Royal Gorge suspension bridge
Day 34 Thursday, July 21st
We racked up a couple of hundred miles today.  We took off from Cripple Creek a little poorer than we arrived and headed for the Royal Gorge.  The Royal Gorge Bridge is the tallest suspension bridge in the world.  The sight was just amazing.  The pictures dont really give you a full sense of the magnificence of the gorge but they certainly give you an idea.  We spent some time there acting like tourists and taking lots of pictures and then headed north.  We actually had to put on some raingear today but it wasnt too bad.  We went from 97 degrees to 57 degrees in just a few hours.  We settled in for the night in Silverthorne, had some great dinner and thats all folks.
Five mountains over 14,000ft
Highest suspension bridge
Bounci feels close to home
And I brought my pole
There's no place like home
That's a LONG way down
