Kaye, the mother of four children, has been a member of  DAR since October 14, 1993. Coincidentally, October 14 is the   birthday of her uncle "Ike". She was regent of the Saguaro Chapter 1998-2000.
Kaye took over that post four years after her friend, Peggy Hurd, present Arizona State Regent.

Four Peaks is a significant and unique landmark and representative of the east valley. It is approximately 20 air miles from Fountain Hills and is visible up to 100 miles. This magnificent site in the Tonto National Forest's Mazatzal Mountains is believed "sacred" by the Yavapai Indians. The view of Four Peaks provides spectacular sunsets of purple and lilac hues, and contains a purple treasure of amethyst crystals. The rich red-violet of the Four Peaks gems were said to rival the best in the gem trade.
