This is my private sanctum, where I go to ponder life's little mysteries... or let off steam with a nice long rant. The contents of this place is always changing, just like my moods. It's dynamic and chaotic, just like life... sometimes I come up with something completely off the wall, sometimes I achieve an epiphany of some existential truth. Most of the time, though, its just stray random thoughts. If you've ever read my stories, or chatted with me, or read some of my posts, and wondered, "Geez, what's going on inside that guy's head?" Well, look no further. Here is the answer.
March 1, 2007: Do you remember Beavis & Butthead? Or Ren & Stimpy? The Head? The Maxx? Aeon-Flux? Those were some of the coolest shows of their day, and they all started off on MTV. Another thing they have in common... aside from Beavis & Butthead, they were all axed after two seasons at the most, long before their time. Why is that? Does MTV just put random crap on TV to see whether or not its cool, and then get rid of it if it is? The list of cool shows axed is fairly long... but the one that comes to mind most of all is Sifl & Olly. Thank goodness for YouTube!!
The show was very funny... I mean, sock puppets with attitudes... how can you NOT like that? Everything about it was hilarious, but one section was particularly funny: Precious Roy. It was freaking FUNNY... lampooning the Home Shopping Network on CVC. It always ends with Sifl and Olly talking to Precious Roy himself about whatever product they're selling, and Precious says something idiotic.
