The Metallica Titles Series
(Not to be confused with the actual MUSIC. This website has nothing to do
with the actual band, other than the fact that the story titles were modeled after,
and inspired by, said music)
This is the story of Jeffrey Meyers, a young runaway, living on the street, until
one da, by a twist of fate, he is given extraordinary powers. Follow his rise to power,
his corruption, his meteoric fall... and finally his redemption...
Yeah, I know, its the music thing again. Sorry, but music and song is a very
strong motif of my writing, and a large part of my writing process. Whenever I
write, I have music playing in the background. Coincidentally, I'd written the
first three chapters of this series of stories in one sitting while listening to
Metallica's 'Black' Album and their 'Reload' Album, without having any idea of
what to call each stories. Inspiration struck with each aptly named song, which
in turn, aptly fit the mood and theme of the story. On a roll, I put on 'Ride
the Lightning' 'And Justice For All' and 'Garage Inc' as well. What follows is
what followed...
