I suppose when you get right down to it, I'm just your average guy. I have dreams and aspirations like the next person; I am studying to be an English teacher, and I hope to be a published writer some day. I'm in a relationship with a very lovely, very loving girl named Shelley (with which most of you that have read my stories are familiar with!). I was born in a small town near the North Carolina/South Carolina border, but moved to the west coast to be with the girl I love.
I enjoy music of all kinds, everything from Mozart and Tchavosky to the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Metallica, from John Coltrane and Bradford Marsalis to DMX and Eminem. Music is a part of me. Half of Darksong is, of cours, SONG. It has the power to touch you in a way that words alone never can. A picture may be worth a thousand words, but a good song is word a million pictures.
Alas, my skill lies more with the written word than in song. I find that writing gives me an outlet to express that side of myself that is usually held in check, the DARKER side of my spirit and soul, my dreams, my fetishes, my fantasies, all exposed and laid bare... and yet presented in a way that is accepted and even encouraged.
That is the essence of Jonothan Darksong.
