I weighed 213 at this time.
(-214 post-op; -227 total)
At Goal!!!!
NHL
No, this is not a discussion of the National Hockey League <G>.  This is an update on my fight against large-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

I had my bi-annual checkup on Monday, 6/6 - now 9 1/2 years post-chemo - and still clean...

I no longer have problems with the lymphedema in my left leg. I'm working out at Corporate and wearing compression support stockings, my left leg is almost normal size.   The skin changes from the lymphedema makes the leg look like crap, but I don't care - all I care is about the size and that it works!!!

WLS

I had a gastric bypass 7/17/2002.  Page down for a diagram of the surgery.

I reached goal on 6/2/2004 at 213 pounds.   This was a 214-pound loss since my surgery and 227 pounds overall.   I have since lost another 9 pounds.

I am off my diabetes medication.   Click on my picture to go to my profile on obesityhelp.com for more details...

Please take time to read my reflections at
one year, two years and now three years post-WLS.

The
new website for the HUP Bariatric Program is finally up.   There are four video clips of me talking about the importance of fluids post-op, support groups, the initial post-op weight loss and the benefits of walking.

Later...JR
