| "Welcome back!!" Rachel happily greeted the well tanned pair as they exited the car inside the compound. "Hiya!" Kelci smiled tiredly and hugged her friend. "Did you enjoy the break?" "Oh yes! We picked out the baby furniture and it arrived on Friday. The room is so cute...and..." "What?" JC asked as he joined them at the door and saw Rachel's eyebrows dance. "Wanna see a picture of the baby?" "You had a sonogram?" Kelci asked, a little hurt that she hadn't known or been included. "Yeah...and we got to hear the heartbeat," Lance beamed as he put his arm around Rachel. "Momma and baby are both healthy and great." "That's great." "Come inside and show us," JC invited as he opened the condo door and Lance helped him with the two bags. "OK. Let's see it." They all sat around the table and Rachel happily presented the fuzzy sonogram picture. It was hard to make out but the proud parents happily pointed out the head, arm and leg that were visible. "Awe!" Kelci sighed and squeezed Rachel's hand. "How adorable." "Do you know the sex yet?" JC asked as he looked over Kelci's shoulder. "No, the lil' bugger," Rachel scoffed. "Every angle the doctor tried, the baby would block her view," Lance explained with a chuckle. "Awe! Modest like his God-momma." Kelci blushed slightly and swatted JC's chest. "Did you eat?" Rachel asked. "Nope. Did you?" JC asked and hugged Kelci to him. "Nope. Shall we order something?" Lance offered. They settled on various items from the Ale House and the girls volunteered to go get it. Rachel excitedly hopped into the driver seat of the 4-Runner and Kelci buckled herself into the passenger seat. "So..." "So...what?" Kelci asked as they pulled out of the compound. "Don't play coy with me. I can read you like a book." "OK, then...what do you see?" "You got some...and you LOVED it...probably interrupted JC's rest to get more..." Kelci tried to hide her smile, but couldn't, "I only woke him up....SIX times." "C! You're a Fein!" Rachel laughed. "Maybe...or I could be making up for lost time." "You are too much. You OK though?" "Yeah...a little sore at first, but it's all good," Kelci answered and debated telling Rachel about the large pea-sized lump she'd found, but decided against it for now. "Any interesting places? Positions?" "And you say I'm the Fein. Ha!" "Whatever! Well?" "On the beach." "On the beach!? Out in the open!?" was the unbelieving response. "No....two umbrellas blocked us from everything." They stopped their chatter long enough to gather the food then climbed back into the SUV. "I didn't think we ordered that much," Kelci stated and Rachel agreed. Once they arrived back at the compound, both understood the need for extra food: Joey, Bri and Wade. They greeted everyone warmly and Rachel saw how quickly JC was at Kelci's side. He seemed to find every way possible to touch her and he was so happy. "So...JC got laid," Joey stated once everyone was around the table and Kelci rolled her eyes. "First off....it's none of your business," she stated. "Second, the purpose of the vacation was to relax...no method of relaxation was prediscussed with anyone....and third...do you think your daughter needs to hear this?" "Eh, she's seen us." "We know," JC smirked, winking at Kelci. "It is no one's business how we relaxed other than we were at the beach, we had tons of fun, and we'll find time to get away together again soon." "Very well said," Kelci smiled and kissed JC quickly. "My C...no Uncle JC," Brianna stated and wanted on Kelci's lap. "Bri, be a big girl and sit there to eat. You can sit with me on the couch after dinner, OK?" "OK, but no Uncle JC." "Sweetie, Uncle JC and I want to be close," Kelci said and tucked a piece of hair behind the little girl's ear. "Why?" "Because we're in love." "What's that?" came the innocent question to the meaningful statement. "It's when one person really really likes the other a whole lot," JC said. "Like you and Momma?" Brianna asked Joey. "Sure, baby girl," Joey shrugged. "Eat your chicken finger." They ate and chatted then all helped clean up before they settled in the living room. Kelci sat across JC's lap and he cuddle her close before Brianna crawled into Kelci's lap. The little girl promptly removed JC's hand from the inside of Kelci's thigh and wrapped her small arms around the woman as she yawned. "Did you do any dancing?" Wade asked. "No. We tried to stay at the resort as much as possible because they don't allow the press access and, with the exception of the scuba diving and dolphin swimming, all ventures out resulted in someone declaring our presence. No one rushed us, but it was awkward to eat with everyone gawking, you know?" "Yeah, C," Joey nodded. "What are your plans this week and next?" Rachel asked from Lance's arms. "I have to go to LA for a fitness check on Wednesday and I need to have my teeth cleaned while I'm there, but that's it until the Rosie thing for you guys. What day is that?" "Next Monday," Lance stated. "OK. I'll back on Thursday anyway so I'll have a couple of days to go with Johnny. You are at the arena starting tomorrow, right?" she asked. "Yeah." "We saw the stage and it looks cool. There's plenty of room," Lance informed. "Everyone is supposed to be at the arena by 10...the girls, too." "Can Rach and I bring you lunch at say....1?" Kelci offered. "Thank you, sweetie, but there will be like 50 people to feed. We'll have craft services there," JC smiled and kissed her temple. "I'm OK with you two stoppin' in for lunch, but we all six have to agree then OK it with Johnny." "It's OK. We can entertain ourselves so you can work. Maybe you can all agree and we'll stop by on Friday. I could even follow Johnny around then. I can hunt him down tomorrow some time." "OK." "Well, I think it's time to put this lil' one to bed," Joey said as he picked Brianna up off Kelci's lag, where she slept. "No...MY C!" "Bri, honey, it's time to go home." "No! I stay," Brianna cried and kicked her feet, hitting JC's shoulder. "Hey now! Uncle JC and Aunt C won't want you to come back if you throw a fit," Joey warned and caught her legs in his arms. "Now, you have day care tomorrow so you can't stay." "I no go." "Yes, you have to go. Besides Aunt C is tired. Maybe you and her could come see Daddy and the guys for lunch on Friday, but we have to ask Mommy." "I no like you now." "Oh, don't pout, my pretty girl," Joey laughed and she hid her face in his neck. "Now, say good night to Aunt C and Uncle JC so we can go." "Nigh nigh." "Good night, Bri. We'll see about lunch on Friday, OK?" Kelci said as she rubbed the little girl's back. "Say hi to Mommy for me, OK?" "Yeah." "Night, Bri. Have fun at day care," JC said then let her kiss his cheek before she said good night to the others. "I'm going, too," Wade declared and kissed Kelci. "Thanks for dinner and you're welcome on set anytime." "Thank you. Good night." "I think we'll leave you two alone," Lance smirked and took Rachel's hand. "Yeah. You look TIRED," Rachel teased and Kelci rolled her eyes. "I'll come over tomorrow morning and we'll do something." "OK. I'll probably be in the weight room," Kelci said and hugged them good bye before JC wrapped her in his arms, nuzzling her neck. "I am ready for bed, baby." "Me, too, but I'm not quite tired." "And I'm the Fein?" He laughed and chased her up the stairs. |
