She's miserable
Why make everyone else miserable too?
Oh, can't she see?
What she's putting innocent people through

Venessa stepped out of her Mercedez Benz that her parents just bought for her 16th birthday. She was in the parking lot of her high school. A honda civic pulled up next to her and she looked at it.

"Ewww," she said in the most snobbish voice, that anyone could make. The owner of the car came out of the car and tears rolled down her face. She was proud of her car. Her parents had to work both day and night jobs just to get her the car and with Venessa's attitude it didnt make any sense to her why they did it if no one was going to like it.

Miss popular
Everything she does is wrong
Everywhere she goes
They'll be looking
Everywhere she turns
They'll be whispering
Oh, miss popular

Venessa flipped her long black hair, and walked to the front of the school. She opened the doors and walked down the halls. Venessa was proud of what she was. Popular, pretty, rich. She could have anything she wanted. She had everything. The best clothes, the hottest boyfriend in school, and she thought everyone liked her. As she walked down the halls she heard whispering.

"You, wont' believe what I heard she did with Justin last night." a brunette girl whispered into her friend's ear, loud enough for Venessa to hear.

"Huh?" Venessa thought. I've never done anything with Justin. She turned around at the girl who whispered.

What is happening?
She could have used
Her title for a good case
But instead she spits in everybody's face

"Excuse me? What did you just say?" Venessa looked at the girl straight in the eyes, and then looked her up and down.

"um.. nothing." the girl stuttered. She knew how mean Venessa could be, and she saw how she treated kids who she thought were below her.

"No, I think it was something. So tell me what you just said."

"We... we.. well I heard that you did something with your boyfriend Justin Timberlake, and.. but.. I know its not true."

"Damn, right its not true. Before you want to talk behind someones back do two things. Make sure you have the right information, and atleast dress better. Look at your clothes, you look like you shop at the Salvation Army." Venessa walked away leaving the girl, to soak in the abuse and anger of her words.

The girl started crying, because by now everyone was staring at her. True embarassement.

Miss popular
Everything she does is wrong
Everywhere she goes
They'll be looking
Everywhere she turns
They'll be whispering
Oh, miss popular

Venessa spotted her boyfriend Justin ahead talking to his friends. "Hey baby." she said wrapping her arms around his waist. Justin turned around and looked at her. His friends, knew what he was going to do so they walked off.

"We need to talk." Justin took her hand, and led her out behind the school.

"What about?" Venessa asked shocked. There was seriousness in his voice.

Justin stared at her, his blue eyes filled with coldness. "I don't appreciate you telling people that we did stuff together. I would never say something like that about you. You obviously don't care about your reputation but I care about mine. I don't want to see you anymore." Justin walked away back into the school building, without hearing a word from Venessa.

"What?" she said outloud to herself. Tears filled up her eyes and she fell to the concrete floor. She brought her knees up to her chin and cried. She loved Justin, she would never say anything about him like that. She was cruel to other people, but never could she ever imagine herself being cruel to Justin. She put her head in her hands and heard the bell ring. She quickly stood up, dried her face of the tears she cried. She took her mirror out of her purse and wiped off her eyeliner that was now smudged from her tears and reapplied it. Everything was ruined. Justin, was the only guy that she loved and the only guy that she wanted, but in her mind she thought that everyone liked her and she could get any guy she wanted. If love was based on looks that would be true, but Venessa's personality was one that only Justin could handle.

It is happening
Oh, so now you know how it feels to be insignificant
Oh, so now you know how it feels to be all alone
Oh, when the lights go off
You can still dream of yourself
How hot you were
Miss popular
Everybody hates you
Poor Miss popular
I don't feel a bit sorry for you

Venessa walked back into the building, into her first period class. She looked over to where her best friend, Kendra was sitting. Venessa walked over to Kendra, but before she could get the seat next to her Kenda put down her bookbag over the seat.

"Move your bag." Venessa said trying to move it.

"Sorry, I'm saving this seat for someone." Kendra said not even able to stare Venessa in the eye. Yeah, Venessa was her best friend, but what everyone thought she did to Justin was wrong. Spreading rumors about doing stuff with your boyfriend, the guy who loved you, was just wrong. It was bad enough when guys did it to girls, but when girls did it to guys, you finally realize they have problems. Was Kendra going to be the next one Venessa victimized with her rumors?

"Kendra let me sit here." Venessa demanded.

"Hey, Amanda over here." Kendra said ignoring Venessa. "I saved you a seat."

Amanda looked at Venessa and just rolled her eyes. "Ho." she said before sitting down next to Kendra.

"Mrs. Thomas, please take a seat. Class will be staring any minute." the teacher said from the front of the classroom."

Venessa looked around the room for a seat. There were atleast 5 seats that were empty but 3 of them had their backpacks on their seat just like Kendra did. One of the seats, belonged to the girl who Venessa made cry earlier. When the girl saw Venessa looking at her, she put her backpack on the seat also and looked directly straight. Now, the only seat left was next to a boy named Angus, who was known for blowing his nose on other people's shirt sleeves. Venessa took the seat next to him, but moved to the edge of the seat. Angus looked over at her and smiled, and drew up the plehm from his throat.

"Gross." Venessa yelled , making everyone look to the back of the classroom. "I am not sitting next to this freak." she put her backpack on and stood up.

"Excuse me miss. You either sit by him, or get out of my classroom."

"Fine." Venessa walked out of the classroom, and slammed the door shut.

She went in the bathroom, and made sure her makeup looked right. She saw Justin, walk into the boys bathroom. She waited outside the bathroom, until he came out.

Justin didn't notice her and walked over to the sink to wash his hands.

"Justin, why did you break up with me?" Venessa asked getting Justin's attention.

"Just leave me alone Nessa.. I mean Venessa. I got to go." he walked past her and walked back to his class.

Everything she does is wrong

Now she knows - There she goes

Venessa ran down the hall, down the stairs, leading to the parking lot. She got in her car, and once inside she began crying again. She pulled out of the parking lot, and sped off to her house. Her tears blurred her vision, and from so many tears, and from the feelings she was feeling inside she didn't notice that the light turned red and she kept driving. A pick up truck, smashed into her and her car flipped over. There was no chance for her to survive.

Justin attended her funeral, which was held a few days later. He walked up to the casket, and looked in it. His true love. He was the one who caused this. Why did he have to ruin things just because of a rumor? A stupid rumor. He lowered his hand into the casket and squeezed her hand for the last time.

While at lunch the next day, a girl walked up to him, her eyes bloodshot.

"Justin, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean for her to die."

"What are you talking about?" Justin asked standing up knowing that something good would not come out of the girl's mouth.

"I was the one who made up those lies, about her and you having sex. I didn't mean for it to turn out like this." the girl sobbed.

"What do you mean you didn't mean for it to turn out like this?" Justin screamed, attracting everyone's attention over to them. "Venessa, died just because you felt better about yourself by spreading rumors about us. Your such a fucking bitch with no heart."

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry." the girl screamed back at Justin.

"Well, that doensn't help." Justin ran out of the cafeteria, and into the parking lot to get his car. It was raining and even though Justin wanted to speed to the cemetary, he drove the regular speed limit. When he arrived at the cemetary he walked over to the headstone where it read, Venessa Krystal Thomas. 1985-2001." Justin dropped to his knees and cried. He hugged the headstone. Rain pounded on him, but he didn't care.

"I'm sorry Nessa. I should've listened to you." Justin sobbed. "I love you. Please forgive me."

"I do." a faint whisper said.

Justin looked behind him and saw Venessa. He stood up, and walked to her. She looked alive, she looked real, but where she was standing was the only place where rain didn't fall.

"Nes...Nessa?"

"Yes, Justin." Venessa smiled back. Her caramel skin was glowing with radiance and her hair was rested on her back, not one strand sticking up. Everything on her looked perfect.

"Is it really you?" Justin asked reaching out his hand to touch Venessa's hand. Venessa squeezed his hand.

"Yes, but if your asking if I'm alive, I'm not. God accepted me into heaven, even though I've done some bad things to people. I begged him for my last chance to see you again to tell you that I love you. Justin, no matter what happened I will always love you. And, I will be watching down on you, from heaven." Venessa leaned over to Justin's face and gently kissed him on his lips. When Justin reopened his eyes Venessa wasn't there anymore.

"Venessa, no come back." Justin said grabbing at the vacant spot where Venessa just stood. Rain now occupied the spot. "Please come back." Justin dropped to his knees and yelled up to the sky. "God, please bring her back."

"Justin?" a voice said. Justin looked around hoping it would be Venessa. "Venessa?"

"No, it's me Kendra." Kendra's hair was stuck to her face and she was crying too. Her clothing was soaking wet, resembling Justin's.

Justin stood up and wiped away his tears. "She was here. She was here." Kendra pulled him into a hug and patted his back.

"I know Justin, I miss her too." Kendra held in her tears. Best friends, for many years and it all had to end because someone didn't like her, and wanted her to feel like they did. Kendra looked at the headstone and mouthed the words "I Love You." As soon as she said that, the rain stopped falling and the sun appeared in the sky, along with a rainbow. Doves flew across the rainbow, and Justin looked up at the sky.

"She always did love doves."
