| "I knew I'd win the race!" Mikaela said laughing at the expression on Justin's face. "Lets trade cars!" Justin joked after a long moment of silence. "Yeah right!" Mikaela said laughing. "Mikaela can you take me to the car mechanics tomorrow so I can get my car back?" JC asked. "Sure!" Mikaela said. They all noticed that Holly was quiet. "Holly what�s wrong?" Mikaela asked. "Oh, nothing, um, I got to go home, see you tomorrow?" Holly asked. Although they didn't buy it one bit, they decided to leave her alone, she might not want to talk about it now, but eventually she would. "OK, see you later!" JC said giving Holly a hug goodbye. "Want a ride home?" both Justin and Mikaela offered. "No, that�s ok, I think I'll walk." She said trying to pull off a smile. She walked home as tears started to fill her eyes. She couldn't believe it! After all these years she had to see her again! Holly still had a block left until she got home. "Holly! Wait up!" Justin yelled from behind. He approached her as she tried to wipe her eyes. "You�re crying, why?" He asked really concerned. "Oh, um...a leaf...a piece of a leaf got in my eyes." Holly lied. "You think I�m going believe that?" Justin asked smiling but stopped as soon as he saw the serious expression on her face. "You really want to know what�s wrong?" Holly asked. "Yes, I really do." He said. "Well about six years ago my mom walked out on me, my brother, Chris,and my Dad. And um...she was a druggie, and she was abusive, and a horrible person...and at the car dealership, I saw her, and she saw me to." Holly said. "I�m sorry." Justin said not really knowing what to say. "No, its okay, I've got a better mom now anyways." Holly said referring to her Step Mom as she tried laughing the subject off. "Um, I got to go." She said. "Okay, well take care of your self and be careful." He said. "I've only got a block left to walk!" She said laughing. "Yeah well, you don�t know what some weirdo might do from here to the next block if he saw someone as pretty as you." He said. "You think I�m pretty?" She asked. "Well... yeah, you know your gorgeous." He said blushing. She hugged him and gave him a sweet kiss on the cheek, "I'll see you later and thanks for listening Justin, it means a lot." She said and then turned away to head home. When she got home she went upstairs to her room and got online. "You have one message." the internet voice said. ~*~JC and Mikaela~*~ "What do you think was wrong with Holly?" JC asked. "I�m not sure, I hope she�s alright though." Mikaela said. "I bet Justin knows." JC said with a sly smile on his face. "Oh shut up!" She said as she playfully pushed him. "Ow! That hurt!" He lied grabbing the side of his stomach. "You liar!" Mikaela said laughing. "Hey guys." Justin said coming up the driveway. "Hey, Is Holly ok?" JC asked. "Yeah she�s fine, now." Justin answered. "What was wrong?" Mikaela asked still concerned. "She saw her mom at the car shop today." He said. "So, she also sees her Mom at home." JC said confussed. "No that�s her step Mom. Six years ago her Mom walked out on her. And her Mom saw her back." Justin said repeating what Holly had basically said. "Oh, but she is ok, right?" Mikaela asked. "Right." Justin said. "Well, what are we going to do tomorrow?" JC asked changing the subject. "Maybe we can go see that Movie A Walk to Remember." Mikaela suggested. "I don't know, I got to go though, Mom expected me home three minutes ago." Justin said. "You live across the street!" Mikaela said laughing. "I know but I have to make dinner tonight!" Justin said laughing with her. "Yeah, I have to get home to." JC said although he lived next door. They all said goodbye. When Mikaela got to her room she decided to call Holly. "Hello?" Holly answered. "Hey its me!" Mikaela said. "Are you ok?" She asked. "Yeah, I�m sure Justin told you." Holly said as she laughed. "Yeah, he did, well I just wanted to see if you were OK. Want to go to the movies tomorrow?" "Sure!" Holly said cheerfully. "OK, see you then!" Mikaela said hanging up. |
