Chapter Eleven
"I forgot how good this is." Mikaela giggled as she ate her food.
"You look so cute when you eat." JC said as he smiled.
Mikaela giggled at this and blushed slightly.
"Awe ... why are you blushing?" JC asked.
"Shut up!" Mikaela said laughing.
The dinner was good, but soon enough the night was over.
"I had a good time tonight." Mikaela said as JC as JC gave her a quick sweet kiss.
~*~One Week Later~*~
Holly woke up feeling like hell, how long had it been since her last heartbreak? She didn't care. All she wanted was Justin, but he hurt her, so she couldn't just be with him again and act as if everything was OK! Oh no, he wasn't going to get away with something that hurt her so badly, and then get away with it so damn easily! She got up and took a hot shower, not wanting to face the world.
As soon as she got out of the shower she saw a note on her bed that simply said 'Mikaela called."
Holly got dressed and then called Mikaela. After three rings, Mikaela answered.
"Hello?" Mikaela asked.
"Hey its Holly, you called?" Holly asked.
"Yeah, I heard what happened with you and Justin." Mikaela said feeling sorry for the two that used to be a couple.
"Oh..." Holly said not really knowing what else that she should say.
"look, IM sorry for what he did Holly, but Britney is bad news, and I know for a fact that Justin wouldn't cheat, especially on you." Mikaela said.
"What do you mean when you say 'especially me'?" Holly asked a little more interested in the conversation.
"Well, you don't know the way he talks about you, I've seen many girls come and go in Justin's life, but you ... are a lot more than just some girl." Mikaela said trying to explain the passion that Justin had for her friend Holly.
"Really?" holly asked feeling special, even though she was truly and deeply hurt by what Justin had done to her, she was still touched by what her friend Mikaela had to say.
"Really." Mikaela answered.
Holly felt the tears coming and didn't want to start crying all over again, after she just cleaned herself up.
"I have to go, want to hang out later?" Holly asked.
"Sure." Mikaela said knowing her friend was still hurt.
"Bye!"Holly said as they both hung up.
Holly quickly put a little bit of makeup around her eyes, and then dabbed on some lip gloss.
She put on a long jean skirt with a tube top and a jean jacket with the locket that her mother had given her so many years before. She slid on her bashe flip-flops and walked out the door.
'Now where should I go?' Holly asked herself sitting down on her porch. Just then JC walked up her drive way.
"Hey JC!" Holly said a little surprised.
"Hey sweety!" JC said as he picked her up in a hug and spun her around.
"Want to hang out?" JC asked.
"Sure!" Holly said.
JC lead Holly to his BMW and just like a gentlemen, he opened the car door for Holly and helped her in.
"So where to?" Holly asked as JC shut his car door and started the car.
"Well, I was thinking the ice cream parlor? Sound good?" JC asked.
"Sounds great!"Holly said.
As soon as they got to the ice cream parlor, Holly quickly spotted Mikaela.
"Hey, look Mikaelas here also." Holly said thining it was a little ironic. Although Holly said it loud enough for JC to hear it, he said nothing,' I hope there not in a fight or something.' Holly thought.
"Hey guys!" Mikaela said giving Holly a quick wave and then giving JC a sweet kiss.
'Looks like there doing just fine.' Holly said a little relieved.
"Wow, I didn't know you two would be here! Justin and I are here as well!" Mikaela said although both JC and Mikaela planned this.
Right then Holly knew that this was no coincidence, both JC and Mikaela planned this. Just then, Justin came up to them with both his and Mikaelas ice cream.
"Holly? What are you doing here?" Justin asked completely out of it.
'My god! Shes beautiful!' Justin thought sadly.
Holly almost felt sorry for Justin. He looked as if he hadn't slept for days. Twenty minutes had passed and JC and Mikaela tried to make conversation with both Justin and Holly but they ended up being the only two talking.
"I got to go to the bathroom." JC announced getting up from where he was sitting.
"Yeah me to." Mikaela said.
And now both Justin and Holly were alone.
Together.
"So....." Justin said feeling tears in the back of his eyes.
"Why?" Holly asked.
"Why....why what?" Justin asked a little confused although he did have an idea.
"Why'd you kiss her?" Holly asked.
"Holly....look I don't know why I did it, but if you were wondering if I wanted to be with her then the answer is no." Justin said.
"thats not what I want to know, I want to know if you liked it, if you enjoyed the kiss." Holly said.
"Did I like the kiss?" Justin asked"Well...." Justin sat there deep in though not able to find the answer.
"You shouldn't have to think." Holly said walking away.
~*~Mikaela and JC~*~
"So how do you think there doing?" Mikaela asked JC as they waited about a block away from the ice cream where the park was.
"I don't know, but I hope they are." JC said grabbing Mikaelas hand and leading her to the park swings.
"What are we doing?" Mikaela asked.
"We're going to the swings." JC said smiling.
JC Sat down on the swing and then got Mikaela to sit down on his lap as they both swung on the same swing together.
Mikaela giggled as JC kissed her neck.
"No Holly! Wait please!" Justin begged walking at a fast pace to catch up to Holly.
"Justin, I thought that I would be ready to talk to you now, but apparently im not, ok. So just leave me alone!" Holly yelled and for the first time he actually saw how much he had truly hurt her as the tears came strolling down her eyes.
"And Justin...maybe you can think about what you want in life, and dont tell me now, I want you to really truly take your time and figure out what you want. Britney or Me." Holly said walking away. She knew this was Mikaela and JC's idea, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't get mad at them. After all, they were only trying to be her friends. She walked past the park, just six more blocks....Holly thought dreading every step she took away from Justin.
"Hey! Isn't that Holly?" Mikaela asked seeing Holly acrossed the way apparently walking home...without Justin.
"Yeah...that is. I guess she and Justin aren't doing any better." JC said as Mikaela and JC started getting off the swing and headed toward there friend.
"Holly!"Mikaela yelled.
Holly heard someone calling her name and stopped in her tracks turning around to see her friends Mikaela and JC.
"Hey." Holly said trying to wipe away the tears that were strolling down her face.
"Its a lot worst than I thought." JC mumered to Mikaela seeing his friend Holly crying.
"Sweety whats wrong?" Mikaela asked running up to her.
"Oh...um, nice try but nothing helped with me and Justin being alone together." Holly said.
Mikaela and JC both looked down as they felt horrible for setting there friends up.
"Let me take you home." JC said.
"OK." Holly said as she walked back to the ice cream parlor with JC and Mikaela, unfortunately they had to walk past Justin to the car and all three of them saw Justin sitting by himself, with his head in his hands sobbing.
"Justin?" Mikaela asked hoping it wasn't him.
"The best thing in my life left me!" Justin said not knowing Holly was there.
"I had to screw up! I just wish she knew that Britney forced herself onto me and that I don't want Britney, because I only want Holly." Justin said sitting there with his back faced to them.
Holly couldn't believe what she heard Justin say. It was too much for her to handle and tugged JC's arm."Lets go." She whispered and quickly started walking to JCs BMW as Mikaela sat down to talk with Justin.
JC and Holly drove home in silence.
"Thanks JC, Um...Im gonna go inside since I have nothing else to do....unless you want to stay over?" Holly asked.
"You know I would love to but I have to be home, my cousin Micheal is coming down from Georgia today." JC said trying to explain.
"Oh ok well have fun." Holly said trying to put on a happy smile.
"Bye sweety." JC said giving her a sweet peck on the cheeck.
"Bye." Holly said as she got out of the car and walked up to her house shutting the door.
JC speed away to the airport. Ten minutes late....hopefully Micheal wouldn't mind.
~*~Next Day~*~
Holly was getting ready to meetJC's cousin Micheal for the first time, even though she knew that Justin was going to be there, she really wanted to meet Micheal he semt like a nice guy from what she heard from JC.
Ten minutes had passed and she quickly spotted everyones cars. She found them next to a barbeecue as Justin was cooking the Hamburgers and steak. Holly smiled for the first time in a week just seeing his face brought a smile to her face and she wasn't sure whyJustin saw her smile and was confused but he couldn't get his eyes off of her. She turned away and went to JC.
"Hey Holly! This is Micheal." JC introduced.
Micheal turned around to see Holly and her smile quickly dimed, although she didn't want to show it so she tried to keep a smile.
"Um...hi." Holly said sitting next to JC not wanting to be near Micheal. JC didn't notice and so Micheal and JC continued toplay a game of chess.
Holly stared at Micheal with hatred. Micheal just blankly stared back.
How the hell did someone so mean be related to JC?
"JC I need you to come with me and get some coal." Mikaela said as she waved at Holly.
"OK, sure."JC said walking hand in hand with Mikaela to her car.
Justin watched the two, he had never seen so much anger in Holly's eyes, and he didn't understand. But soon did when he heard there words.
"What the hell are you doing here?" Holly asked rudely.
"Nice to meat you to." Micheal said with a laugh.
"Don't fuck with me Micheal!"Holly said scolding him"One of the reasons we moved here was to get the hell away from you!" Holly yelled.
"So? Whats wrong with me seeing my Cousin?" Micheal asked with a smile.
"Screw you!" Holly said.
"Look I didn't know you were here! But now, my summers going to be a lot of fun!" He said.
"Your summer?" Holly asked a little scared.
"Yes, my summer, im staying here for two weeks." Micheal said smiling.
"No...."Holy mumbled.
"Yeah...and that means hell for you sweety." He promised.
"Dont you call me that!"Holy yelled.
"Don't you fucking tell me what to do!" MIcheal said grabbing her arm and twisting it as he feeled with anger.
"Hey! Let her go!"Justin yelled as he watched everything.
Micheal let go, he didn't know anybody had seen.
"What the hells your problem?" Justin yelled at the man.
"Fuck you!" Micheal said just standiong there.
"Fuck you!" Justin yelled back jumping on Micheal and beating him up over and over again with his fist. All Micheal did was start screaming like a little girl.
"Hey Justin whats your problem?" JC yelled grabbing Justin.
"Ask him!" Justin said.
"I don't know what your friends problem is man, your friend has some issues!"Micheal yelled back.
"What?! Holly saw the whole thing! She'll tell you! " Justin said
Everybody turned to her and she just sat there quietly tooning everybody out as tears ran down her face. Nobody had evber stuck up for her before, not one person, they never cared all that much.
Holly got up from the bench she was sitting at and ran up to Justin and Hugged him.
