Wow, so it has been FOREVER since I updated this blog. I kinda got down on the whole divorce thing never happening and gave up on my wedding hopes there for a while.
However, since my last posting, I found a loop hole on the divorce, I drew up the petition and we filed it, waited out the 60 days, I drew up the divorce decree and Casey went to his hearing and ... it was GRANTED!! He is finally free of that crazy woman! Legally anyways. So yay!!
Next step, a few days after the divorce was final, we were out in Lewisville and were in the same shopping center as a David's Bridal and I got to stop in. Casey, the baby and his mom were with me so I didn't do the whole trying on thing yet (plus the fact that I want to loose a lot more Zoey weight before I start trying on dresses!) but I got to look and see and touch the things that I had been researching online for all this time. It was so cool. The dress that I am looking at right now is only $350, which is in our price range, and it is beautiful.
Gorgeous, right? Well, so happens that there are bridesmaids dresses that match in all in the colors that I have chosen as well. Davids Bridal has their own name for the colors but they are truffle (rich brown), apple (deep red) and persimmon (lush orange). Which will go so pretty with the flowers. Anyways, the overall look is going to be very autumn.
I can't wait to see everyone in their dresses. Hopefully this style isn't going to be too expensive for the girls. I've talk to two of them so far and they both love it, one more to go!
The last bit of news I have to share about the wedding is that as of Monday, Jan 22nd, I am mailing my check to reserve my photographer, Jim Miller. OMG, he is AMAZING. You can read more about him in our 'photographer' section on the website, but I just have to say again how excited I am to have him photographing our wedding. He takes stunning photographs and that part of the process is what was worrying me the most. Photography is a passion of mine and I was actually dreading this part of the wedding planning after viewing the work of the people in my area and seeing what they were charging for their crappy ass work. But, I dont have to worry about all of that anymore, I soon will have him confirmed and woah, what a load off my shoulders!
Thats it for now. I am still trying to download music for the reception cd's (since we can't afford a DJ) and it is hard coming up with songs people can dance to that are not lame. If you have any suggestions, please let us know!
Oh, and sorry to everyone who happens to read this blog and my blog on MySpace, there is a bit of repetition, but I want to at least touch on everything in both places so that everyone can be informed that wants to be.
Love to all, I can't wait to share this experience with everyone!
