We are down to 4 months to go before the wedding and I feel the panic slowly starting to creep up on me. I've been working on this forever and it seems like the to-do list isn't dwindling
AT ALL. I am starting to see why the term "Bridezilla" was coined. hahah!!
We FINALLY got to go dress shopping! Yay! Not that it was the *best* shopping trip ever, I am just happy to have it all sorted out! See: Me, Zoey, my Mom, Lydia (Maid of Honor), Lexi (flower girl), Ingrid (Maid of Honor) and Olivia (flower girl) all went. Yeah, it didn't look like the sales people were too happy to see us bring all the kids with us, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do. We only have certain windows of opportunity when all of us can go together and we had to take the kids. ANYWAYS, it was pretty much a disaster, all of the girls were cranky. Plus the sales woman who was "helping" us was a MORON. But by the end of the day, I got it sorted out and we now know what bridesmaids dresses will be used and I pretty much have my dress selected, although I didn't get to try it on. (They didn't have a sample of my dress in my size-damn them. But I tried on a similar one and I think it'll work.) We will be returning w/o the kids before the end of July to get them ordered.
Ingrid e-mailed me this joke and I thought it was too cute not to share:
Three men were sitting together bragging about how they had given their new wives duties.
The first man had married a woman from Iowa and had told her that she was going to do the dishes and house cleaning. It took a couple days, but on the third day he came home to a clean house and dishes washed and put away.
The second man had married a woman from Illinois He had given his wife orders that she was to do all the cleaning, dishes, and the cooking. The first day he didn't see any results, but the next day he saw it was better. By the third day, he saw his house was clean, the dishes were done, and there was a huge dinner on the table.
The third man had married a girl from Texas. He told her that her duties were to keep the house cleaned, dishes washed, lawn mowed, laundry washed and hot meals on the table for every meal. He said the first day he didn't see anything, the second day he didn't see anything, but by the third day some of the swelling had gone down and he could see a little out of his left eye, enough to fix himself a bite to eat and load the dishwasher.
And another funny for you:

And a bit of trivia:
"Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue and a Sixpence in You Shoe."
The wedding rhyme dates back to old Victorian times. "Something old" represents good fortune being passed down from the generations. "Something new" symbolizes the hope for a bright future. "Something borrowed" is believed to bring happiness to the new union and "Something blue" represents fidelity. "A silver sixpence in your shoe" is thought to ensure financial and spiritual wealth.
Alrighty, I hope everyone likes this new entry! I am going to start adding more entertainment to all my wedding jabber. Ya know, give you a reason to come and check out my journal entries!! =)
