This nocturnal animal is most active about an hour or so after dark when they
search for insects, mice, reptiles, frogs, birds and they would even scavenge
and eat fruit.
I unfortunately killed one of these many years ago in the Caprivi strip of Namibia
when it ran across the road and I couldn't stop the vehicle in time. It
had such a nice skin so I wanted to skin it but dropped it quickly when all it's
parasites, ticks and lice started to climb on me...
They are only found in the north-eastern part of the subcontinent.
