A solitary animal, seldom seen and only active at night.  Digs tunnels where it stays during daytimes.  It has 20 molar teeth that looks somewhat unnecessary because it only eats termites.  Part of the Aardvark's stomach functions as a "chewing-stomach" that grinds down the food with the aid of sand and dirt that it swallowed while feeding.  Similar to a cat it digs a hole to cover its faeces.

Their tunnels are often used by various other animals as shelters.
