This page is intended to address the need of the following public:

High School Principal, teenagers and their parents for Teen Defensive Driving Course

Junctions offers professional services to car, motorcycle, tire manufacturers and media organizations in creating the exact specific events they intend to. From V.I.P. reception to mass dealing situations, we will work with you with the best customer satisfaction result.

From tie with black and white dressing code to casual clothing for the creation of a fun and professional environment, we can do it all.

Either you want to create a specific event based on autocross, a "sale - demonstration" show for specific car models, or organize a manufacturer product comparison ride & drive event, we are the professionals to assist you in doing it right.

Manufacturer sponsored events:

4 years of experience in Ride & Drive events, working with multiple manufacturers, both in the car and tire business: Car & Driver, Road & Track, Cadillac, Ford, Jaguar, to name a few.
35 years of motorcycle riding on more than 23 bikes, including racing with a TZ250cc Yamaha and an RGV 250cc Suzuki.

In 2005 Junctions was integral part of the team who provided the Yokohama U.S. Tour in 13 cities visited around the country. At each event, tire dealers and their employees were invited to a marketing presentation of the manufacturer products and participated in successive competitive autocross laps including 5 identical cars equipped with different tire compounds.

Every day required intense work, strong attention to detail in order to assure a successful event. Attendance was high as was the expectation of the tire dealers at each of the 13 cities "visited".

For some other manufacturers, JunCTions was part of the teams who provided on track "hot laps" to customers and we were also responsible for additional sales & marketing services due to our professional background.

At JunCTions, we add to the instructor part of the job in a Ride & Drive the necessary "Sale & Marketing" aspect of it that will make the "customers" satisfied with his experience during the day. Every person is treated like a "family member" and a "friend". Our communication is very business oriented, and the philosophy of the company we represent is learned, mastered, and applied during the entire event. We identified ourselves to the company spirit and goal.

At JunCTions, we also propose specific learning driving classes for young drivers, either in a one-on-one course, or by being part of a team who provided the classes to an group of teenagers having obtained either their driving permits or their licenses.

Teen Defensive Driving Course:

Classes dispensed to Teenagers are created with the notion of a "pleasant event" included in the teaching and learning process that every young adult will receive during these one or two day events.

The courses are proposed either at a one-on-one level or at a group level

A few of the subjects opened during the day and before practice:

- Rules of the road,
- Description/Study of the vehicle and its maintenance
- The capital role played by the tires
- The 10 principles of Driving
- Going to learn "your" car before driving
- Static - and dynamic - position in the driver seat position
- The importance of using effectively each part of the body involved in the driving process

The "class learning time" is followed by repetitive practice during the day, all of it applied in a progressive and incremental way.

The Ride & Drive aspect of this course is present due to the fact that every student first take place in the passenger seat before to be the driver of "his" car for the day.

Every student is taught the concept of turning radius proportional to speed and adherence of the car (tires-suspensions rules reminder) followed by 3 type of exercises as a responsible driver:

- Braking with and without ABS (weight transfer back to front and consequences)
- Change of lane - 1 and 2 lane change - (weight transfer and how to master it)
- Slalom (weight transfer from side to side of the vehicle)

After the practice day session, the P - for privilege - talk takes place, since each teenager student is given the opportunity to realize that being the owner of a driver license and driving a car today is a privilege and certainly not a due.

This privilege requires some "obligations" and "responsibilities" and implies a definite attitude when behind the steering wheel and soon as the engine starts.

Special driving course with manual transmission car:

In addition to the program described above, specific driving course are available and proposed for teenagers interested in improving their driving skills of a manual transmission street car.

- Clutch concept and principle
- Differentiation between an automatic and manual transmission
- Effective use of the duo "clutch-gas pedal"
- Braking concept with a manual transmission vehicle.
- Engine brake - seen as different than with automatic transmission car -

Recommendations:

A one-on-one course, with the presence of the parents at the beginning and end of the day, is recommended for maximum effectiveness.

Parents have an important role and place in every teenager driving learning process, since the role model is of premiere importance.

Now you are a click away from high standard professional services backed by experience and European driving skills, where 97% of the cars have 5 and 6 speed manual transmission.

Very Sincerely Yours
