When I was a young boy growing up I used to love playing AD&D with my friends. Now that I am a grown man, I still enjoy reading about my favorite fantasy character of all time....Drizzt Do'Urden, renegade Drow from the city of Menzoberranzan. He escaped when he realized that he hated his people for the evil that they brought to the world. He shunned the Drow way and became a loner in the lonely passages of the Underdark. With the exception of his magical panther from the Astral plane, Gwenwyvar, they set out to make it as far away from the Homeland and Queen Lloth as possible. He finally made it the surface only to find that the surface-dwellers shunned the Drow for their evil ways and tormenting of the common people. He found refuge in Icewind Dale and made friends with the resident dwarf kingdom ruled by King Bruener Battlehammer and the Barbarian tribes that would eventually produce the great friendship of Wulfgar, son of Boernegar. They have had many close calls along the way but are still tremendous friends and companions. If I was leading an evil party of orcs and ogres or even giants I would hide or run until they couldn't find us knowing that we would all die by the hands of Twinkle and Icingdeath, Drizzt's two magical scimitars.
