Classmates,

Well, the Friday night homecoming reunion is over and I think everyone who was there will agree it was a lot of fun. We had a very nice turnout (a total of 51) with some classmates we rarely see and several from out of town. Following is a list of those attending:

Everyone enjoyed visiting with old friends in a quite informal setting at Veit's. A large group went upstairs during the evening to enjoy a meal while some classmates remained in the downstairs bar area and enjoyed sandwiches. After finishing the meal upstairs, several classmates returned to the bar area and continued visiting. The evening ended around 10:00 pm when the last of the group finally left. Pete Oetting had brought a 64 Marcullus and classmates had a good time reminiscing.

We are hoping that this might encourage more classmates to participate in our monthly dinners operate much as last Friday night's get-together did, except that everyone dines together. We will be keeping all of you posted as to when and where these dinners are to be. For those of you in the Jeff City area, please try to come. For those of you out-of-towners, if you ever happen to be in Jeff City at the time of one of our dinners, please feel free to attend.

We were all happy that Jeanne was able to attend and she spent the whole evening, being one of the last to leave. Getting out among friends was the best medicine. I spoke with her Saturday morning. Physically, she was in a lot of pain, but mentally was in great spirits. She was just so happy to have been able to be there Friday night.

Now, the next order of business is to begin work in earnest on our 40th Reunion scheduled for next September 17 & 18 at Ramada Inn. Please be sure you have your calendars marked for this occasion and don't miss out!!!

Dear Classmates,

The JCHS Class of��64 will kick off its 40^th reunion with a Homecoming get-together starting at 4:00 pm on October 10 at Veit�s Restaurant and Lounge (2001 Missouri Blvd in Jefferson City).� Go to the lower level, which has an entry off the rear parking area.� Dress casually.� You don�t need reservations, and the only cost is what you spend on food and drink.

The JC Homecoming parade will be that afternoon � the usual starting time is 2:00 pm if you would like to plan to see it.

Enclosed is a list of motels in Jefferson City.� Please be aware that rooms may not be available because Lincoln University is having its homecoming the same weekend as JCHS!

Mark your calendars:� we�ll hold our main reunion on September 17 and 18, 2004, at Ramada Inn in Jefferson City.� A Hospitality Room will be open both dates, and we�ll meet for dinner the evening of the 18^th. �� We�re still planning additional activities, so we�re still open to suggestions.� Send them along by e-mail or, if you want to contribute money as well, by snail mail (make checks to �JCHS Class of� �64 Reunion�).

We�ll send more information later as we finalize plans for 2004.
