Classmates,

Last night's pretty much impromptu dinner at Domenico's was attended by the following: Pete Oetting, Jeanne Tucker Gordon, Linda Trippensee, Carol Hale Sloan, David and Lala Dooley, Hartley Huff, Bill and Margaret Kratochvil Baggett, Gene Fox. It was reminiscent of the beginnings of our monthly dinners when we usually had between 6 and 12 people. We had a good time visiting and laughing. We were in an area pretty much to ourselves. The food and the company was great.

I want to remind you that our Christmas dinner will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, December 16 at Ria's on West Edgewood Dr. Please let either Pete or I know if you plan to attend. We will have to provide them with a count a couple of days prior to the dinner. Don't forget. Put it on your calendar and plan to attend. The Christmas dinner is usually one of our largest attended dinners of the year. Everyone is in the Christmas spirit and ready for an evening of fun. So plan to join your classmates for this dinner.

Classmates,

I wanted to send an email to let you know about our celebration tonight to commemorate the 45th anniversary of our senior year Homecoming. We had a good turnout and a lot of fun and good food. Those attending were David and Lala Dooley, Stanley and Angie Stegeman, Ron and Linda Bogg, Hugh and Lisa Waggoner, David and Carolyn Lale, Tom and Jeriann (Stricker) Hammond, Wayne and Sharon (Dixon) Johnson (along with their son Christopher), Hartley Huff, Ted and Weesie Wilson, Dennis and Anne Cruts, Pete Oetting, Jeanne (Tucker) Gordon, Don and Bev Case, Ray and Linda (Barger) Bledsoe, Mark and Debbie Schreiber (along with their son Kent), Bill and Margaret (Kratochvil) Baggett, Andy and Judi Opel, Rollin Garrison, Mary Beth (Tyree) Harlamert, Don and Chris Roark, Dennis and Linda (Huff) Smith, and myself.

We have decided not to have a November dinner. Instead, our next dinner will be our Christmas outing scheduled for Tuesday, December 16 at 6:00 pm at Ria's, the new restaurant on West Edgewood Dr. We will have a private room there. Please notify me no later than December 14 if you plan to attend this dinner.

Also, we are currently looking at possibly a date in mid-October 2009 for our reunion. No details have been worked out yet. We will be getting information out about the reunion in the next several months.

Classmates,

We had a good dinner tonight at Steve's Family Restaurant. Those attending were Ray and Linda (Barger) Bledsoe, Ron and Linda Bogg, Art and Doris (Brunner) Schlender, Carol (Hale) Sloan, Pete Oetting, David and Lala Dooley, Hartley Huff, Fred Crouch, Linda Trippensee, David and Carolyn Lale, Andy and Judi Opel, Ted Wilson, Don and Pat Reinhard, Becky (Deel) Veit, Tom and Jeriann (Stricker) Hammond, Cheryl (Washington) Rencher, Hugh Waggoner, Bill and Margaret (Kratochvil) Baggett.

The August dinner has tentatively been set for either August 21 or 22 at Madison's. Pete will check to see which date the private room is available. We will have to let you know when we find out. We are also planning on having the Sept dinner at Summit Lake Winery in Holts Summit (no date yet). We also talked about having some kind of function on Homecoming which is October 5. Nothing definite has been decided on that. Also, our Christmas dinner will most likely be at Bones, where we had our 60th birthday party last September. We will keep you posted on the dates as we make final decisions.

We had a pretty good turnout at tonight's dinner at the Elk's Club, and enjoyed the delicious food. We have tentatively set the date and place of our next dinner on Tuesday, July 17 at Steve's Family Restaurant on Route C. I will let you know at a later date when plans are finalized.

We had our dinner tonight at Ryan's, and the classmates attending the dinner were Ray and Linda Bledsoe, Tom and Jeriann Hammond, David and Carolyn Lale, David and Lala Dooley, Dan Rice, Brian and Betty Ritchey, Mark Schreiber, Dennis & Linda Smith, Dennis & Linda Cruts and Linda Trippensee.

Our next dinner will be our Christmas dinner on Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at Madison's. I will send out additional e-mails when the time gets closer, but be sure to mark it on your calendars.

Well, the big birthday party is over and we had a really great time!! I think everyone enjoyed themselves (at least, going by the comments I received, they did!). We even had a request to do this every year! I don't know if we can do that, but in about another year and a half we will have to begin thinking about our next reunion in 2009.

Classmates,

We had a fantastic turnout last night at Oscar's. Twenty-nine classmates and spouses were there to share dinner and a lot of fun. Those attending were: Ron and Linda Bogg, Sam Brizendine, David Dooley, Jeanne (Tucker) Gordon, Linda Trippensee, Judy (Schaefer) Johnson, Don and Bev Case, Pete Oetting, Andy and Judi Opel, Ted Wilson, Bill and Margaret (Kratochvil) Baggett, Wayne and Sharon (Dixon) Johnson, Janan (Perkins) Huntsberry, Mike and Carol (Maddox) Burns, Hugh Waggoner, Art and Doris (Brunner) Schlender, Dennis and Linda (Huff) Smith, Mary Beth (Tyree) Harlamert, and Brian and Betty Ritchey. We took up almost one whole area of Oscar's, and had a really great time.

We have set our May dinner for Tuesday, May 16, 6:00 pm at Summit Lake Winery. I will be sending out a reminder closer to the date, but be thinking about it and put it on your calendar.

We have also tentatively set our big Baby Boomer Birthday Bash for Saturday, Sept 16, and are trying to get the Knights of Columbus facility on Tanner Bridge Road. We will be sending our more information on that in the next couple of months. We are hoping a lot of you from out-of-town will be able to make it. It will be in the afternoon, probably not a meal, but with snacks, etc. And, of course, a BIG birthday cake!! So, everyone mark your calendars for this date. We're only going to turn 60 once and we want to have a party to remember!!

Well, the Friday night homecoming reunion is over and I think everyone who was there will agree it was a lot of fun. We had a very nice turnout (a total of 51) with some classmates we rarely see and several from out of town. Following is a list of those attending:

Everyone enjoyed visiting with old friends in a quite informal setting at Veit's. A large group went upstairs during the evening to enjoy a meal while some classmates remained in the downstairs bar area and enjoyed sandwiches. After finishing the meal upstairs, several classmates returned to the bar area and continued visiting. The evening ended around 10:00 pm when the last of the group finally left. Pete Oetting had brought a 64 Marcullus and classmates had a good time reminiscing.

We are hoping that this might encourage more classmates to participate in our monthly dinners operate much as last Friday night's get-together did, except that everyone dines together. We will be keeping all of you posted as to when and where these dinners are to be. For those of you in the Jeff City area, please try to come. For those of you out-of-towners, if you ever happen to be in Jeff City at the time of one of our dinners, please feel free to attend.

We were all happy that Jeanne was able to attend and she spent the whole evening, being one of the last to leave. Getting out among friends was the best medicine. I spoke with her Saturday morning. Physically, she was in a lot of pain, but mentally was in great spirits. She was just so happy to have been able to be there Friday night.

Now, the next order of business is to begin work in earnest on our 40th Reunion scheduled for next September 17 & 18 at Ramada Inn. Please be sure you have your calendars marked for this occasion and don't miss out!!!
