A modest request about e-mail ...
To all of our online friends --
We really appreciate being on your e-mailing list, and we
love being in touch with you.
Now we have a request ...
We filter our e-mail through an extremely limited (and free) Yahoo! mailbox
account, which means e-mails with attachments tend to take
up a great deal of memory in the mailbox.
At a certain point, our Yahoo! mailbox fills up -- then
prevents other people from sending us mail by "bouncing"
their mail back to them, saying our mailbox is full and
can't accept more. So we miss stuff that may be vital to
us.
Most people on the Internet tend to send only the links to
pages that display the larger files (photos or larger
pieces of writing), rather than the large files themselves.
That means we can still get their mail but it won't
speedily fill up our mailbox. It has the extra bonus of
demanding less of the Internet as a whole, thus speeding up
the entire system.
If you can do this, it would help a lot. And thanks!
