Van Wert County

Stop 1: Delphos
Here is where the Allen-Van Wert County line is marked in the city of Delphos. The border is formed by the Miami and Erie Canal. At the extreme left is a Hardee's restaurant.
A few feet ahead is a historical marker. This section of OH 66 is nicknamed the Anthony Wayne Parkway in honor of the Revolutionary War general. One can also read about the history of Delphos. At the right is an East of Chicago Pizza Company restaurant (a popular eatery in northern Ohio). What blocks the "O" in "CO" is not a fallen gutter (such was my first impression) but rather a tree branch.

Stop 2: Washington Township
This is how Van Wert County specifies the numbers for township highway routes.
Here is the sign announcing to travellers that US 30 is coming up. US 30 is a limited-access highway, and there is talk of it becoming Interstate 76 sometime down the road (no pun intended!).
Here is a sign for the destinations (control cities) along US 30. From OH 66 Van Wert is 10 miles west, while Mansfield is 95 miles east.
This is one of the older-style street signs. This is Township Road 246.
