This is my 16 Gallon Nano reef tank. As you can see it is a perfect sphere!  A very creative tank shape in my opinion.  To start off this tank was not created to hold marine organisims.  It was meant to hole gold fish or tetras.  Non the less a reef!  But with my persitance dedication and patience I created this tank in to a msterpiece nano reef!
*Tank Stats*
-Filtration
The filtration for this tank is very simple, it consist of the tanks origional mechanical/chemical filtration wich is located on the top peice of the tank .  simply the pump pushes the water up into the top where it is sprayed over white floss and carbon floss.  then simply goes back into the tank. For some added biological filtration I added some "Bio-Glass" tubes in the top filter.   There is 20 Lb.'s of Live sand and 25 Lb's of live rock.
-Lighting
Lighting this tank was the biggest dilema!  There was absoloutly no was to put a normal aquarium light or pendant over the tank.  I spent the most time trying to figure out what to do.  I went to countless lighting supply stores I tried to somehow
replace the small halogen bulb in the tank's filtration unit with a small power compact light.  All my attempts failed!  I was very discouraged at this point.  But I continued my search. I went to a handfull of Local aquarium shops, and no one could recomend anything to me.  I even had my friends looking out for some way to light this tank to hold reef animals!  Well let me tell you the answer was closer than ever  The what seamed like the never ending quest for lighting had ended all thanx to our local Home Depot store!  One day like ussual I loked at the selection of light bulbs that home depot carried hopeing that the "lights of america" brand had come out with something that might suit my needs.  Well Was I surprised to find what I found, Screw in 19Watt Daylight powercompact 6500Kelvin!!! I thought to my self Finally they came out with these things. So i bought a hand full of them But my search was not over.  How the heck would I use these bulbs to light the oddly shaped tank???  I went all over town any store I thought would sell lighting supplies to look for some kind of fixture that could somehow hold the light at an angle.  Once again I started to get discourages.. But my search ended at opur handy dandy Walmart!  I found that i could use two desk lamps with movable arms one from the side and one on the tanks top bent down and over to hit the tank perfectly!!!  Was I happy............
