This is Banjo. He was 8 months old
and completely starved to skin and bones, and covered
with rain rot so bad it was bleeding. The person I
got him from told me he was a yearling quarter horse
gelding. He turned out to be about 8 months old,
still a stud colt and the following spring he shed out
to be an appaloosa. I raised him up and at age 5, put
him in training for 4 months. He did great, but
wasn't quite what I wanted in a trail horse. Had a
bit more spunk that I care for. I sold him to a lady
a couple of hours away a couple years ago. She loves
him.
Babe, who now is ridden by my neices who love him dearly. He was rescued right off the slaughter truck.
