Welcome to JC Ranch Paints and Quarter Horses boarding
stable. We've been in the horse business for several
years and have owned horses all our lives. We built
this stable in 1999 to the highest standards using the
best products available.
The highest standard of care is provided to our
boarders including good grass and alfalfa hay, and
grain. Custom feeding, vitamin and turn out schedules
are made up for each boarder. We have 40 acres of
cross fenced property providing more than adequate
turn out and trail riding areas. There is access to
10,000 acres of trails and logging roads for your
summer riding enjoyment. We not only provide boarding, but can also provide various services for you when you cannot be here
including holding the horse for the farrier or vet and
providing some doctoring if your horse should become
sick or injured. We are very compassionate people so you can be assured
that your horses is receiving excellent care. Check
out the pictures of some of the features we have added
to our stable.
This is our wash rack and shoeing area. There is hot
water available here. As you can see in the photo, it
is well lit, has rubber mats to prevent slipping, a
handy shelf for your grooming and bathing supplies and
is located right next to the tack room for
convenience. There is a big sliding door at the back
of the wash rack so you can let in the afternoon sun
and breeze. This door also provides an alternate
escape route for the shoer or vet if the horse
misbehaves. There is also access to a 2 acre turn out
pasture through this door.
This shows how our stalls are constructed. We have 2
sizes available, 12 x 12 and 12 x 13 1/2. The fronts are
Hi-Qual pre-manufactured stall fronts. They are
constructed of heavy steel, powder coated to prevent
rust and scratching and have an excellent guarantee.
The sliding door has a drop down door so your horse
can stick his head out and there is also a small feed
door for convenience. The dividers in all of the
stalls are removable so any stall can be made into a
foaling or doctoring stall without having to shuffle
horses around.
If you are interested in purchasing Hi-Qual stall
fronts for yourself, contact Kelly Smith at Ag West at
(503) 648-4178 and/or check out the Hi-Qual web site
listed on our links page.
Our tack room locks for security, is heated and well
lit. There is plenty of room for storing your tack.
We also have a cot we can set up in there if you want
to sleep in the barn to stay near your horse.
