The denomination "flower cells" has been used to designate Adult T-cell Leukemia/ lymphoma (ATLL) cells, with multilobulated nuclei (flower petals) morphology. In my experience, in cytocentrifuge preparations they are quite non specific, being relatively common when too much speed is applied. This example was seen in a spinal tap from a case of lymphocytic meningitis, HIV and HTLV-1 negative, with total recovery.
