Large-cell neuroendocrine carcinoma (LCNEC) and small-cell lung cancer (SCLC) are high-grade neuroendocrine tumors of the lung. LCNEC: At histology shows features of organoid nesting, trabecular, rosette-like and palisading patterns that suggest neuroendocrine differentiation- this is usually confirmed by immunohistochemistry.
