FNA large excavated lesion in left lung inferior lobe: all the smears show irregular papillary formations, with malignant looking nuclei. The surgical specimen revealed a well diferentiated muco-papillary adenocarcinoma, with several psammoma bodies. Extensive work up failed to reveal a primary tumor elsewhere, specially in the thyroid and the ovaries. Immunochemistry also ruled out thyroid origin. The case is remarkable because of the young age of this non-smoker patient, a female medical student of ours.
