| This film starts off with a change of pace from its predocesors. It takes 18 minuites too get too the first action peice but when it does it never lets up. Michelle Yeoh is great in this. In many ways outdoing Chan (the motorcycle onto the train scene for one). Maggie Cheung is again used as a human punch bag. And one of the films faults is the coincidental way May shows up in Malaysia. Bill Tung is much more comedical here and his drag scene is very funny. The films music adds too the attmosphere a lot, as does the more international feel. The gunplay scene is highly enjoyable and at times funny. This film is probably darker than the others and alot less slap stick. But the plot and continuity faults make this film less enjoyable. And is it me or does this film feel really short. 4/5 |
