Aviation Art

This page updated November 8, 2006. Stay tuned for new updates!

I am proud to display the aviation art of "Nick" Nicholas in this gallery. This is primarily a collection of US Military aircraft from 1941 to the present, with some civil and foreign military types included as well. They are all tributes to the many men and women associated with aviation - but especially to those who maintain and fly the airplanes & helicopters for ALL Branches of the US Military- protecting our wonderful country - Past, Present and Future! There are also a few airplanes here near and dear to my friends and myself--we either worked on or flew some of these wonderful aircraft. I hope you enjoy them as much as we did.
The graphics displayed on this page depict actual or typical markings for the aircraft. All drawings are copyrighted property of "ON TARGET" Custom Graphics, and may not be used or duplicated without his permission.

Please support our troops overseas. They are fighting to protect YOUR rights and YOUR freedom!

NICK's PERSONAL INFORMATION: Aviation has been my primary interest and hobby ever since the 1950's. I was very active in the Civil Air Patrol Cadet program, my Mom was an Instructor Pilot & my folks owned an airplane - so I got my Private Pilot's license while I was in high school. This greatly helped me to get into the US Army Warrant Officer Candidate program in 1965. I had the great fortune to fly for the US Army as a Warrant Officer Aviator and Department of the Army Civil Service (DAC) Pilot for 25+ years. "Uncle Sam" taught me to fly several versions of the AH-1 "Cobra" Attack Helicopter (my favorite aircraft), UH-1 "Huey", OH-58 "Kiowa", OH-6 "LOH", OH-13 "Sioux" & TH-55 Helicopters, the O-1 "Bird Dog" & U-6 "Beaver Single Engine Airplanes, and the U-8 "Queen Air", U-21 "Ute", C-12 "Huron" and O-2 "Skymaster" Multi-Engine Airplanes. I survived 3+ tours in Vietnam as an aviator, and am very privileged to be a member of the Red River Valley Fighter Pilots Association (Red River Rats) & the 1st Squadron, 9th Cavalry Regiment "Bullwhip Squadron Association". I have also flown several Civil Helicopters and Airplanes - now I draw them.
