8th GRADE HISTORY
Students will work on understanding the effects of the Civil War on the United States. The projects will range from comparing the military advances to researching important people/places of the Civil War.
Students will work on understanding the advances reached during the Industrial Revolution and its effects on the United States and the rest of the world.
Students will study the causes of The Great War. Also, the students will study the effects of the war on American society. We will also discuss how this war directly caused World War 11.
Here, we will study the impact of this global conflict on the United States and Europe. These projects will challenge students to investigate key components of the events and individuals during WW II.
What a turbulent decade! Students will investigate the assassinations of both Kennedys and Martin Luther King, Jr. Also, we will discuss the start of the Vietnam War and link our discussion to the current war in Iraq. Ofcourse, we can not discuss this decade without looking at the music that defined the decade.
