| A grading system is utilized to help parents and students best understand the grading process in school. The above grades are utilized at the Alice Costello Elementary School. |
| My grades are broken into four sections: Tests (30%) Quizzes (30%) Homework assignments (30%) Participation (10%) Please contact me if there are ever any questions regarding a grade or score in one my classes! Also, Mr. Lee can set you up with a password to log onto our computerized gradebook for instant view of grades! |

| Year end average for each subject is determined by adding the total points and dividing by four for each subject. |
| A student must earn three promotion points in each subject in order to pass for the year in seventh and eighth grades. A passing grade (D- or better) must be earned in at least two of the four marking periods, one of which must be the third of the fourth marking period. |
