Ontario, California
Tracy Alice Kuler walked into the College's library with at least 20 books in her arms. She went around the first level of the room not finding her friends and went up the stairs hoping she wouldn't drop any books. She was about to loose the top books when Brandon Thomas Carlsson almost ran into her in the staircase.
"Oh my God! I'm sorry Tracy!" he said as he grabbed a few of her books and turned to go back upstairs with her following him behind.
"Ya ya ya, save it to someone who cares," Tracy replied as she blew a hair strand out of her face.
They walked around an aisle of books before they arrived at the area where the rooms were. They were for group project where the students could go and talk without disturbing the other students.
"Look who I found on the way down!" Brandon replied as he placed the books he carried on the table in front of a seat that was free.
Four heads looked up from their books before they all greeted their friend.
"Hey Tracy!" was heard as she placed the heavy books on the table beside the ones Brandon placed.
"Hey Brandon, where's my sandwich?" Maria Gracias Green asked.
"Yeah! And what about my ice cream?" Marialen Figuedo Garcia asked.
"And what about my juice?" Mandie Korea Monroe asked.
"Where's my kiss?" Brad Merchant asked to Mandie.
As Mandie and Brad were kissing, Brandon looked at Tracy and rolled his eyes making her giggle.
"What do you want Tracy?" he asked as he ignored his two friends as they glared at him playfully.
"Um... A chocolate muffin and a cup of hot chocolate milk please," she said searching for her wallet in her purse.
"You got it!" Brandon said and left the room as Tracy found her wallet.
When Maria was sure that Brandon wasn't coming back, she turned toward Maria and grinned at her.
"What?" Tracy asked feeling her friend�s eyes on her.
"Braaaaannnndoooonnnn has a crush on yoooouuuu oooouuuu! Braaaaannnndoooonnnn has a crush on yoooouuuu oooouuuu!" Maria sing sang before ducking behind her binder that she lifted in front of her to hide away from the ball of paper Tracy threw toward her.
"What EVER" Tracy said as she grabbed her notebook in which she wrote for each class what she had to study for the finals that were approaching extremely fast.
"She's right!" Marialen said, talking for the first time since Brandon left.
Tracy's head turned sharply in her direction.
"What?" she asked calmly.
"Well Brandon asked us money and didn't ask for you... and that's how Brad and I started back in high school, remember?" Mandie asked holding Brad's hand.
"For Pete's sake! This is all bullshit!" Tracy said shaking her head as she opened her note book and placed it to her left side and glanced at the first thing that was listed and grabbed the right book.
As Tracy was flipping to the right page, the door opened and Brandon walked in with a green tray that had all the food and drink they have asked from him. He placed the tray on the table as he kicked the door close with his feet.
All eyes were on him as he placed the items in front of the person who asked for with the change that came back. Brandon placed lastly Tracy's muffin and her drink as he sat down beside her and Maria smiled at Tracy, who smiled back at Brandon.
Marialen cleared her throat to get Tracy's attention and once she got her attention, Marialen leaned forward and looked into Tracy's eyes.
"Admit it that we are right about what we just talked about." she said sitting back into her chair, winking at her friend who's jaw dropped.
Right then, Brad and Mandie started to hum the little song that Maria had sang when Brandon left. Tracy got up on her feet and just lost her temper right there.
"That's IT! I've had enough of you guys for the day! What the hell is your problem? Picking on me for what reason? Huh?"
Tracy looked around as her friends looked back at her with a frightened look on their faces. Brandon got on his feet and grabbed his things and put them into his backpack. He grabbed a few of Tracy's things and placed them into his backpack.
Brad got up and placed his hand on Tracy's arm to stop her but she pushed his hand away as if it was burning her skin. She glared at him and grabbed her things as Brandon opened the door.
"Tracy! We were just joking here!" Marialen pleaded.
"Well I didn't find it quite funny!" she said before storming out of the room.
"Well that went well..." Mandie mumbled, still staring at the open door through which two of her friends left.
Maria let out the breath she held and closed her books softly. Marialen and Brad followed suit and they all left the library and they went back home knowing that they couldn't study after what just happened.
